Rhône Wine Week 3rd November 2014

www.RhoneWineWeekIreland.com

Specialist wine importers Tyrrell & Co. Ltd and Inter-Rhône, the French state body dedicated to promoting the wines of the Rhône Valley, came together to bring the first ever Rhône Wine Week to Ireland in November 2013.

Rhône Wine Week is coming back again this November 2014 and promises to be bigger and better than last year. As well as Tyrrell & Co., this year fellow importers James Nicholson Wine Merchant and Findlaters  are also involved.  Kicking off the week is the Rhône Quiz on Monday 3rd November, with the chance to win your team a trip to the Rhône Valley for the Découvertes  next March (the annual, 4-day, Rhône Wine Tasting event that starts in Ampuis, in the Northern Rhône and works its way down the river to Avignon).

There are dinners, tastings, discounts and more Rhône-related offers planned for all around the country. From Down to Galway, from Limerick to Cork and on to Dublin, with plenty more in between. The organisers are also delighted that Susan Boyle has agreed to bring her one woman show A Wine Goose Chase back for selected dates during the week. The diary for the week is available here and events are being added to it regularly. Keep an eye out on facebook and twitter for daily Rhône competitions throughout the week and to get news of all the latest Rhône offers.

Tyrrell & Co. have long sung the praises of this wonderful wine producing region; an area they believe offers the most diverse of all the wine regions in France, if not the world. From price to style, from people to ‘terroirs’, the Rhône delivers. If you’re looking for that extra special bottle of Châteauneuf du Pape or Côte-Rôtie or maybe you’d just like a great value Côtes du Rhône to go with Tuesday night’s shepherd’s pie, the Rhône has it.
